Fulham all clapped out? Major atmosphere upgrade incoming at the Cottage

Fulham fans, if you have not seen already on the Club Website there is a Survey to complete regarding ways to improve the Atmosphere in SW6.

As we all know, the Cottage can be quiet at times when it comes to making noise. Now, the Club, FST, Fulham Lilies, the Fan Advisory Board, & The Fulham Disabled Supporters Association have formed a new group with the objective of enhancing the matchday experience and strengthening our home atmosphere.

“At home, Craven Cottage should be our fortress which we can all use to our advantage” – Marco Silva

We have been given the opportunity to have our say via the club’s website. There are some interesting questions regarding ways to improve the Noise. Including Pre Match ideas including New Music, Light Displays, Banners and Tifos, Walk out Music and Goal Celebration Music.

I think this could be really exciting for the Club, I am a big Fan of pre-match music featuring some flashing Lights. I love to ground Hop around Europe, and one of the clubs who do it the best is ‘Real Betis’. Before the Game kicks off, they have a few guys play an electric violin and saxophone to the Tune of ‘Stereo Love, by Edward Maya, which seems to be their adopted Anthem. (Have a look at YouTube, it’s Incredible) It’s one of the best Atmospheres I have ever been in, and I truly believe the buildup was so Important to the outcome of the Game.

My point is that something like that would be Amazing for the Club. Imagine this, Its a Friday Night Game, we are about to play the other lot from up the road. Someone comes out packing an electric Violin, cranking out an absolute Dance Banger chucking in some flashing lights, it would get everybody bouncing! We might even end up on TV a bit more because of it.

End of the clappers?

As much as the Clappers are a Novelty at Fulham, I think it’s time we do away with them. Do not get me wrong, they are great for the kids. I think they should be an optional extra to pick up and take to your seat, rather than make one for every person; it just feels like a waste of Cardboard. Im also fed up with the conversations with Rival Fans asking. You still got your clappers?”

The genius approves

In support of this new initiative, manager Marco Silva said: “Football is about connections – connections between fans, players and staff. It really means something special for us to be together on match days and to create an environment to give us the best chance of achieving good results.

“Through all moments in matches – even the difficult ones – your noise, passion and energy can have a massive impact on the team, pushing the players even more. At home, Craven Cottage should be our fortress which we can all use to our advantage.

“We’ve enjoyed great occasions, and we want to keep producing great moments. Your support and noise contributes to a strong and energetic atmosphere which can be felt by everyone.” (from website)

I would also like the Hammy End Toilets sorted out, but that is for another survey, I guess.

With no reinforcements as of yet, the Team need all the Help they can get.

Put your Ideas in, and let’s make a change. I am sick of Away Fans saying they like coming to Fulham, let’s stop that, starting with 3 points against Man United on Sunday. See you there!
