Marco Silva’s Fulham Cup ambition

Fulham Manager Marco Silva sat down this afternoon in his pre-game Press Conference before tomorrow night’s game, where Fulham face Bristol City at Craven Cottage in the Carabao Cup.

The Whites have had a good showing in the cup competitions in the last 3 seasons, most recently losing narrowly in the Carabao Cup semi-final with the score finishing 3-2 on aggregate to the eventual 2025 runners-up Liverpool.

“We are knocking on the door.”- Marco Silva

Despite being short in numbers due to a lack of Incomings in the Transfer Window, the Whites Manager seems optimistic about taking the next step and getting Fulham to their first Final since the Europa League back in 2010.

It seems Marco will be taking the Cups seriously once again and will look to go far; however, after just playing Man United Sunday, then Bristol City in the Cup tomorrow night, and finally the short trip up the road with a London Derby at our big Spending Neighbors, Chelsea, in the 12:30 pm kickoff Saturday, there is no time to rest.

Bristol City will be no mugs and will want to pursue their own targets in the cup, leading to what will surely be a tough test for what will no doubt be a rotated Fulham Side wanting to progress further into the competition themselves, especially with home advantage.

“Of course, we have to be very careful because even in terms of rotation, we are short in some respects, but it is what it is”.- Marco Silva

With the Gaffer’s contract up at the end of the season and his future uncertain, it looks like he wants to leave his mark on Fulham for years to come. Let’s hope he can do it.
