Let’s talk about Kevin, Fulham’s latest transfer target

Fulham fans! We finally have our first real bit of exciting news regarding transfers this summer, apologies to Benjamin Lecomte.

We are in pursuit of Shakhtar Donetsk winger Kevin, and if sources are to be believed, “he wants Fulham.”

What do we know about him? First of all, he is a 22-year-old Brazilian winger signed from Palmeiras for a reported fee of 12 million euros + 3 million in add-ons 18 months ago.

He has played 38 games, scoring nine goals, and was voted Shakhtar player of the season for the 2024/25 campaign.

Fulham’s first approach was rejected by Shakhtar, who are looking for a figure believed to be in the region of 50 million euros. Personal terms seem to have been agreed yet talks are ongoing regarding the transfer fee.

Shakhtar fans have likened him to “2012 Willian,” which is exciting. I don’t know about you, but if we do manage to pull this deal off, I’d be happy with an impact of “2024 Willian” (in his first season for us, of course).

I’d be very surprised if this is done before the Brighton game, but we can hope, though we certainly need some depth on this side.
