Fulham predicted starting XI vs. Brighton for the Premier League opener
Fulham are set to start the Premier League campaign away at the Amex next Saturday, and while the excitement of a new season is buzzing in the air, we all would love to know the starting XI the club will dish out on Saturday. So here is my best estimate.
No surprises with the Goalkeeper being Bernd Leno. The German goalkeeper is a fan favourite and is the most reliable keeper we have had since Schwarzer.
LB: Ryan Sessegnon. While he might have exited the field against Frankfurt with a slight injury, he clearly is fine and will hopefully feature against Brighton, with Antonee Robinson still not up to speed.
CB: Joachim Andersen and Calvin Bassey speak for themselves. Trustworthy and sturdy, they are the rocks at the back.
RB: Kenny Tete. Beautiful man and even better lime cyclist. Hopefully, the latter has improved his fitness after his injury.
Midfield: Sander Berge, Sasa Lukic, and Joshua King. Words cannot describe my excitement to see this midfield three in the Premier League this season, it feels like a fever dream, and hopefully King will showcase why he is the coming of the next West London Pele.
Forwards: Harry Wilson, Raul Jimenez, and Alex Iwobi. Again, nothing new here, but with good form in pre-season, Jimenez and Wilson bagging goals and looking lively, they should provide a substantial threat to the Brighton defence on Saturday (August 16).
Fulham predicted lineup vs. Brighton: Leno; Sessegnon, Andersen, Bassey, Tete; Berge, Lukic; King; Wilson, Jimenez, Iwobi.
Emile Smith Rowe will be on the bench, as I just do not see boss Marco Silva dropping any of those listed above, as they are all, in my opinion, of better fitness and what we will require to do a job at the Amex on Saturday.
